Bostwick – Bury Me

There are some moments of true brilliance in this song. For instance I really like the blend of guitar and drum work with the electronic elements. It works well together to create a musical masterpiece. The composition is really well done as Bostwick knows when to go for broke and when to pull it back just a little bit leaving us wanting more. The lyrics were well written and the delivery was well done. While this chick has a great voice I thought there were moments that she might have pulled back just a touch. She has such a clear, high voice that at times it seemed at odds with the music.

I did like the track overall. There were a few moments that pulled me out of the song. I think that may be a drawback of reviewing. I try to not to be critical of any song but I’ll be honest and say when I review I’m looking for certain elements to fall into place. When I’m listening for pure enjoyment I don’t tend to notice minor missteps. I could see putting this on my list with bands like Halestorm, In This Moment, Lacuna Coil and Flyleaf. Don’t let the few things I didn’t care for sway you though, this is a really solid rock track that you should absolutely check out!
