I am really enjoying the female vocals on this track! Reminds me a bit of some of the brilliant 80’s vocalists from bands like Swing Out Sister and T’Pau. I also love the guitar line, just like I like it nice and tight. Plus there is that gorgeous horn work. Listening to this track I definitely feel like I should get up off my ass and dance. That’s saying quite a bit since I can’t dance to save my life. Personally I keep coming back to the vocal track. It’s so sweet I think I got a tooth ache from listening to it. If there was any aspect of the song I didn’t love it was the syth sounding back beat. I think that comes down to a personal preference. I realize that a lot of dance music has this style of back beat and while I do respect it, I always find myself thinking it would have been better with a drum kit.
I am quite curious about Franck’s music. I love the upbeat nature of this song and as I said I am totally taken with the female vocalist and the guitar line. I don’t listen to a lot of dance music so when it comes to building a playlist I would pair this up with some of the old 80’s pop tunes that I loved as a kid.
